Indonesian club stages exhibition

The Limkokwing University’s Indonesian club, Merah Putih, recently organised Rupa, or Room for Art, exhibition. The five-day event attracted international students, lecturers and visitors.

It was an annual occasion for Indonesian students to display their creative and artistic skills. Under the theme, Original, paintings, art videos, mix media art, illustrations, sculptures and fashionable outfits were on show. Seventeen budding artists presented 78 art pieces.

The event was aimed at fostering closer relations among Limkokwing Indonesian and international students...

Always room for art…visitors viewing illustrations and paintings.

Their presence was strongly felt as they played their role in ushering guests and dignitaries at the Royal Charity Dinner organised by the Kuala Lumpur Foundation to Criminalise War yesterday. They were on hand to receive the former Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammad and his wife, Dr Siti Hasmah, as well as the King and Queen.

Beaming with pride was the Limkokwing University’s vice-president for international relations, Dato’ Hamidah Mohd Yusoff.

The cause for joy was the exemplary performance of 15 student ambassadors from the university, handpicked...

This year’s Deepavali or the Festival of Lights on 27 October will shine brighter than before, thanks to six eye-catching kolams created by Limkokwing students.

More than 240 local and foreign students from the university worked meticulously for two days to design the kolams at strategic locations at the Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. The participants used more than 300 kilogrammes of rice in a variety of colours to produce themes such as Connection, Gourmet Emporium, Couture, Bintang Circle and Seventh Heaven...

Students sell Botswana in Malaysia!

It has become very common, if not the norm, for negative reports on Botswana students abroad to be printed in the local media. This often clouds the positive achievements of many students living abroad. A trip to Limkokwing University in Malaysia proved that all is not in vain when it comes to the youth and the freedom that comes with being far away from home.

About two months ago, a group of 20 Batswana students at the Limkokwing University in Malaysia came together and formed the Botswana Student Society (BSS), whose main aim is to raise funds for charitable work through a variety of events...

Nigerian and Ugandan students get together to mark independence days

Nigerian and Ugandan students at Limkokwing University combined forces to observe their countries’ national days today. Their compatriots from Nilai University College and Inti International University College also joined in the double celebration.
 
Held at the Hall of Fame, the event saw 138 Nigerian and 93 Ugandan students take part. It was sponsored by the university.

Gracing the occasion were Nigeria’s High Commissioner Peter J. Anegbeh and Uganda’s Honourary Counsel Noraihan...
