Creativity reaps rewards…again and again. Limkokwing Film and Television Academy (LFTA) proved recently that it paid to think outside the box. And it made a great difference in competitions.

The LFTA won the MSC Malaysia APICTA’s Best in Media & Entertainment Award for its production of the music video, Barricade, by Malaysian rock band, Love Me Butch, in the Media and Entertainment Category.

Limkokwing bags excellence award

It is not the winning streak but the proud culture of excellence that enables Limkokwing University of Creative Technology to gain recognition for its achievements constantly. Thus time and again, it has captured awards at home and abroad.

The university was in the limelight again recently (31 October) when it received the Technology Business Review ASEAN Award for Excellence in the ASEAN Education Management Sector at a ceremony held in the Putrajaya International Convention Centre.

The president of the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, Tan Sri Dato’ Dr Lim Kok Wing received the Mentor Entrepreneur of the Year award at Hotel Istana, Kuala Lumpur, tonight.

The university also won the Superior Company award presented by SMI & SME Worldwide Network in conjunction with the 3rd Business of the Year 2007 Award.

Zeitgeist Becomes Form. That’s the spirit of the times, spelling changes in lifestyle, morality and outlook. It’s the appropriate title of a one-month fashion photography exhibition held at the Gallery on Limkokwing campus from 15 October.

Organised by the Institute of Foreign Relations (IFA) and co-hosted by the Goethe Institute Malaysia and Limkokwing University, the exhibition is a 50-year photographic journey that began in 1945. It features 188 photographs from 39 photographers highlighting the many facets of German fashion.
